GUIDING CURIOUS MINDS DOWN UNIQUE PATHS
At Fitzgerald Community School, your child will get the best of both worlds with an adventure-based 5th-8th grade education that combines child-centered learning and curriculum benchmarks out in the real world.
Each student gets a blend of adventure-based learning, and foundational learning that’s designed to meet them exactly where they are at.
Join our community of supportive, accepting, and encouraging families that celebrates the unique personalities and needs of each child.
We love our FCS families and can’t wait to meet your child.
OUR COMMUNITY, MY EDUCATION.
Your child can cultivate their creativity while still learning a similar curriculum as the public school system, to become well-rounded and confident students that are fully prepared when they transition to high school.
While our foundational learning days include regular outdoor breaks and time in nature, the heart of our nature-based education takes place during our out-of-class adventures. These experiences immerse children in the natural world—exploring forests, fields, and shorelines—where learning is active, sensory, and deeply connected to the environment. When indoors, our adventures will be taking place at libraries, museums, and other community buildings and businesses. Together, this blend of foundational academics and outdoor exploration engages the whole child—mind, body, and spirit.
Who your child is influences the way we teach.
We’ve spent years perfecting a blend of free play, project based learning, and foundational learning to give your child a personalized educational experience that’s designed to let everyone flourish. Our learning coaches are specially trained to create accommodations for each student to meet them exactly where they are at.
Our smaller class size ratio of 1-7 students give your child the freedom to explore in a way that naturally complements their individual learning style. The mixed-age groups foster the development of social skills and leadership in a safe environment.
Engaging in science and cultural projects that connect to the community and apply to real life settings.
Your child can follow their curiosity and cultivate their creativity in various indoor and outdoor settings, while still learning a similar curriculum as the public school system, to become well-rounded and confident students that are fully prepared when they transition to high school.
