Transitional Kindergarten is a wonderful program for our older preschool learners (Age 5 by January 1st), or for those late summer birthdays who would technically make the Kindergarten cutoff, but just may not be ready!
Transitional Kindergarten at FCS is a multi-age group classroom, as all of our classrooms are at Fitzgerald, comprised of TK and Kindergarten Learners. The group works toward Kindergarten standards in alignment with the MA State Frameworks. While we wouldn’t expect a TK learner to master these skills just yet, they will be receiving consistent exposure to them. While preschool at FCS is play-based, Transitional Kindergarten provides a bit more of an academic push for those who are showing readiness.
This program is 5 full days per week. 8:30-2:30 M-F.

Must be 5 by January 1st
Your child can follow their curiosity and cultivate their creativity to become well-rounded and confident student that is fully prepared when they transition to Kindergarten.
BEFORE, AFTER + EXTRA CARE
We offer a play-based before and after school care program for an additional fee.
Before care starts at 7:30 AM until school starts at 8:30 AM
After care starts at 2:30 PM and ends at 6:00 PM.
