The Importance of Outdoor Play in the Winter
Children today tend to stay indoors during the winter months, but it’s just as important to get outside during the winter season. At Fitzgerald, children go outside spring, summer, fall, and winter for at least two hours per day. Winter play helps avoid indoor germs and bacteria, works those larger muscles, increases vitamin D, and allows for the opportunity to problem solve and use imagination. Dress yourself and your children in appropriate clothing and go outside!
